SIRI believes that individualized and institutionalized racism are endemic in Britain and have serious consequences for Black people in the following areas in life:
Physical health and access to health care
Our Afrocentric Model
The stresses of modern society especially for immigrants clearly stretch many people beyond their ability to cope. This situation has resulted in a rise in the number and severity of mental health problems manifested by people in Britain. The SIRI Afro centric view involves four distinct components: Direct Community Services provide educational experiences to the community as a whole. This is accomplished through preventive education.
